Hebron M.P. Church is one of nine rural Methodist Protestant Churches founded in Sussex County prior to 1888. It is the only known rural M.P. church in Sussex County to have undergone minimal alteration since its construction. The church exemplifies vernacular Greek Revival chapel architecture and retains its original interior finishes. The congregation first formed in 1879 and initially gathered at Kings School #54. The current site was acquired from John Day in April 1888 and construction was completed on October 24, 1888. The church ceased regular services in 1934. Hebron M.P. Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
