The complete Glass Negative Collection of the Board of Agriculture is currently located in our online Delaware Heritage Collection. The set consists of 2,017 images that were shot from 1922-1938. During this time period, many photographers were moving from glass negatives to film. However, their staff photographer, Roydon L. Hammond, needed the best quality photographs for his job as a seed analyst. He therefore continued to use glass negatives in his work. As signs of Spring begin to blossom, we are pleased to present this collection to you.
