Mt. Salem Methodist Episcopal Church

“Mt. Salem M. E. Church, colored, of New Castle was built of frame in 1857. The present brick church was built in 1878 and was dedicated on Dec. 15, 1878. Additional land was purchased on Dec. 2, 1879. There is a graveyard beside the church.” (1)
