“There are two colored churches in Bridgeville. Mt. Calvary M. E. Church was built in 1908. They were incorporated on Apr. 1, 1911. They purchased land from Fred L. Willey on June 30, 1916, from Chas. W. Pullet on Aug. 27, 1918 and from the State Board of Education on Jan. 25, 1924. Macedonia Holy Church of God was built in 1907. Wm. W. White donated land to them on Nov. 17, 1921 and on Jan. 21, 1922, they purchased a property from Luther Rust.” (1)
