DELAWARE CONSTITUTIONAL SESQUICENTENNIAL COMMISSION

By an act of the General Assembly a commission of thirteen members was created to cooperate with the federal government in the celebration of the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the formation and adoption of the constitution. This commission was known as the “Constitution Sesquicentennial Commission of Delaware.”

The commission consisted of the governor, lieutenant governor, president pro-tem of the senate, speaker of the house, and nine members appointed by the governor.

The commission organized by selecting a chairman and appointing a secretary. These members served without pay.
