TURNER COLLECTION
By an act of the General Assembly an appropriation to the Public Archives Commission was granted for the purpose of buying certain material relating to Delaware families and Delaware history.
This collection, bought from the estate of the Rev. Joseph Brown Turner, was purchased for two thousand dollars ($ 2,000.00)
The collection includes certain indexed cards and genealogical material of approximately ten thousand names of people who had lived in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia, including data from foreign countries relating to Delaware families.
The collection also includes thirty-two (32) volumes of the Maryland Historical Magazine complete from the first (1) volume through 1937.
