STATE BOARD OF REGISTRATION FOR PROFESSIONAL
ENGINEERS AND LAND SURVEYORS
In 1941 the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors was established by the legislature to regulate the practices of professional engineers and land surveyors. The Board consisted of four professional engineers and three land surveyors, who were commissioned by the Governor. The appointments varied between three and four years. The Board was required to have at least one regular meeting each year, and to provide for special meetings as needed. The board’s responsibilities were as follows:
