In the Winter of 1776, the Continental Army launched a desperate campaign to drive back the British Army and restore hope that the war for our independence could still be won. The risks were high, and the chances of success seemed bleak. Despite all the fear and doubt, one company of Kent County volunteers answered the call to arms, determined to fight at their countrymen’s side in the nation’s darkest hour. Join us as we examine the history and service of Captain Thomas Rodney and his Dover Light Infantry on the 250th anniversary of their first battle.
