Details: The Delaware Public Archives invites you to attend the unveiling of a new State of Delaware Historical Marker: The Bulah Family and Brown v. Board of Education.
The marker commemorates the efforts of Fred and Sarah Bulah, their daughter Shirley, and attorneys Louis Redding and Jack Greenberg, whose case Bulah v. Gebhart became part of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision.
The ceremony will bring together local and state leaders, Director and State Archivist Stephen M. Marz, and representatives from the Delaware Public Archives who oversee the Historical Markers Program.
Parking and Shuttle Information: The historical marker is along Tweed’s Park walking trail near Limestone Road (~7 minute walk). No parking is available at the marker site. If Tweed’s Park parking is full, guests may park in Lantana Square and follow signs to the event (~12 minute walk).
For those needing assistance, park at the far end of the Hockessin Ace Hardware lot in Lantana Square, a shuttle will run from there.
