Roots of Renewal: The Civilian Conservation Corps in Delaware is a digital booklet produced by the Delaware Public Archives using Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) photographs, records, and related historical materials preserved in our collections. It tells the story of the CCC’s work in Delaware during the Great Depression, including what the program did, what projects it supported, and the lasting impact those efforts had on the state. Also highlighted are the experiences and contributions of African American CCC whose labor helped shape Delaware’s landscapes and public resources.
