TEMPORARY COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES, ETC.
Throughout Delaware’s history, there have been numerous instances of commemorations and celebrations of Delaware historical events which needed some kind of administrative control, but did not necessitate creation of a permanent state agency. These commissions and committees, lasting anywhere from a few months to many years, were created to oversee special commemorations and celebrations of historical events from the initial planning stages through the past-event settling of accounts. For editorial convenience and ease of use by researchers, all temporary commissions and committees have been placed in record group 1330.
