ADJUTANT GENERAL CARD INDEX

The card files in the Research Room include six drawers of cards for Delawareans who fought in the Civil War. This collection from the Adjutant General’s office in Delaware is incomplete. Even so, the cards herein contain much information useful to researchers, including the soldier’s name, date of joining, date of muster, term of service, rank, and organization; on the back of each card, further information details engagements, wounds, discharge, payments, and sometimes the soldier’s death, burial location, and next of kin.
