ATLANTIC STATES MARINE FISHERIES COMMISSION
In 1941, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission was created, with Delaware placing three members on the Commission. This commission partially salvaging some of the ideals put forth in the defunct Delaware and New Jersey Fisheries Compact (see RG 0914). The new commission , which included representatives from all eastern seaboard states, is concerned with establishing uniform fishing laws to the mutual benefit of participating states. 1
The administrative and ministerial functions of Delaware’s commission members were assumed in 1969 by the Division of Fish and Wildlife , within the newly created Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control ( RG 1620 ). 2
