Historical marker NCC-003: Naaman's Creek

NC-3:

Named for Indian chief, 1655. Chief Peminacka of Minqua Tribe deeded large tract of land along Naaman's Creek to John Risingh, Governor New Sweden. Noted Swedish artists, Gustavus Hesslius and Adolph Ulric Wertmuller, lived on plantations on this creek.

Installed in 1932.
