For American Archives Month, the Mabel Lloyd Ridgely Research Room will be open late for a limited number of on-site research appointments on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Appointments are required for after-hours research. Individuals without an appointment may not enter the Delaware Public Archives after hours.

When making an appointment, please include any specific references for records you would like pulled for review.

Additional Information

  • All visitors must show staff confirmation of their appointment before entering the building after hours.
  • Attendees do not need to arrive at 4:00 pm. All appointments will end at 6:00 pm regardless of arrival time.
  • All visitors must check in at the Welcome Center desk to register and/or retrieve researcher forms. You can download Researcher Registration Forms from our website: Researcher Registration Form (PDF, opens in a new tab).
  • Records will not be pulled from the vault after 5:30 pm.
