2025 Third Quarter Accessions - Delaware Public Archives

The Accessions Committee met on August 11, 2025, to review all proposed accessions received since the last quarterly meeting. All accepted donations have been pre-processed and assigned to archivists for further processing. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at the latest additions to our holdings.

New collections created:

Rehoboth Beach Museum, Motion Picture Collection (9051-000-001)
- This is a collection of 59 films created by Mary R. Ruppel of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, which feature the town.
Small Manuscript Collections, Edward H. McCabe Collection (9200-M24)
- This is a collection of personal papers from Edward H. McCabe. It includes receipts, membership identification cards, and correspondence related to conservation in Delaware. Subjects include St. Andrew’s School, farming records, environmental conservation, and hunting.
Small Manuscript Collections, Grace W. Pierce-Beck Collection, Awards, Honors and Tributes (9200-P17-001)
- This is a collection of awards, tributes, and honorary letters for Grace W. Pierce-Beck, an environmental advocate.
Delaware Humanities Forum, Audiovisual Collection (9280-000-002)
- This series contains two 16mm films: “Lewes – A Town by the Sea” (9280-000-002_01mp) and “Sturgeon Fishing: Port Penn on the Delaware, 1966-1967” (9280-000-002_02mp).
