The Lynching of George White Historical Marker documents the lynching of George White in the Prices Corner area in June 1903. Savannah Shepherd, a high school senior at the Sanford School, initiated the process of this dedication. After the first historical marker was reported stolen in early August, a replacement marker was ordered.
About the event: This event is being held to dedicate the replacement historical marker, which was funded with generous donations from private citizens.
Marker Location: SW corner of Greenbank Park, near brick tower from NCC Workhouse
