SUMMARY:Uncovering Cemeteries
DESCRIPTION:As archaeological sites\, human burials are unique in the
types of information that can be obtained about the past. However\, fu
ll exhumation is not common and comes with a set of legal\, ethical\,
and political issues. In Delaware\, most cemetery projects involve del
ineating the burials to protect them from unintentional disturbance du
ring construction projects. These projects can produce valuable histor
ical information. Dr. Otter will discuss the breadth of cemetery proje
cts and how research reconnects the living with the dead.\n\n\n\n\n\nH
