Program authorized by the Mayor's Employment and Relief Committee to utilize unemployed white-collar workers. The Delaware Safety Council, a private corporation, supervised the traffic survey which was to be used for improvement planning in Wilmington.
Scope and Contents:
Survey gives explanation for its creation and addresses such issues as accidents (auto and pedestrian), parking, planning use and control of streets, modes of transportation, type of business, traffic ordinances and administration. The Delaware Safety Council was guided and reviewed by the Public Accidents Committee. Includes photographs.
