MILITARY SERVICE RECORDS INDEX

This collection consists of four rolls of microfilm which contain an alphabetical card index to the compiled service records of volunteer Union soldiers belonging to units from the State of Delaware.  Each index card gives the name of a soldier, his rank, and the unit in which he served.

These are NOT the complete service records, but only the INDEX to those records!  The complete records are located in the National Archives in Washington, D. C. (http://www.nara.gov/research/ordering/milordr.htm).    Reproductions of specific compiled service records may be obtained from the National Archives for a fee.  For more information, see the introductory pages at the beginning of the series.
