Service Records              (16 volumes)

   These bound records are comprised of companies’ muster-out rolls.  Rolls may include such information as a soldier’s name, rank, age, birthplace, residence, occupation, enlistment date and location, muster-in date and location, mustering officer, term of enlistment, pay dates and amounts, and transfer and promotion data.  The rolls also may list separately those soldiers who deserted, or who were killed, ill, or discharged.

    These volumes contain information on the clothing and supplies issued to each individual soldier.  One soldier per page, with the date of issues, the money value of the issues, and signatures of the soldier and witnesses.

  • Local militia rolls:  listings include name, age, and occupation of militia members.  Militias are from Duck Creek, Little Creek, Dover Hundred, Murderkill Hundred, Mispillion Hundred, and Milford Hundred.
